Hey!

Hope this helps...

Hey, what I find the easiest way to solve one of these questions is draw a flat (straight) line to see what angles correlate with each other...   (like /_ 3 and /_ 6), and you'll find out that Angle 3 and Angle 6 is your answer!!!

All the other angles are either really close to each other, or do not pass the vertical line test...

Dorothy and Rosanne are baking cookies for a party. Working alone, Rosanne can finish the cookies in 6 hours. Dorothy can finish
garik1379 [7]

Answer:

It will take them 3.43 hours.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let T denote the total cookies that need to be cocked. Observe that:

  1. If Rosanne finishes the cookies in 6 hours, that means that she can make \frac{T}{6} cookies per hour.
  2. If Dorothy finishes the cookies in 8 hours, that means that she can make \frac{T}{8} cookies per hour.

Then, by 1) and 2), if they work together would we able to make

\frac{T}{6}+\frac{T}{8}=\frac{8T+6T}{48}=\frac{14}{48}T=\frac{7}{24}T

cookies per hour.

Therefore, in order to finish the T cookies they will need \frac{24}{7}\approx3.43 hours

Answer:

\huge\boxed{\dfrac{6}{7}+\dfrac{3}{5}=\dfrac{51}{35}=1\dfrac{16}{35}}

Step-by-step explanation:

\dfrac{6}{7}+\dfrac{3}{5}\\\\\text{Find the}\ LCD-\text{Least Common Denominator}\\\\\text{List multiples of 7}:\ 0,\ 7,\ 14,\ 21,\ 28,\ \boxed{35},\ 42,\ ...\\\text{List multiples of 5:}\ 0,\ 5,\ 10,\ 15,\ 20,\ 25,\ 30,\ \boxed{35},\ 40,\ ...\\\\LCD(7,\ 5)=\boxed{35}\\\\35=7\cdot5

\dfrac{6}{7}+\dfrac{3}{5}=\dfrac{(6)(5)}{(7)(5)}+\dfrac{(7)(3)}{(7)(5)}=\dfrac{30}{35}+\dfrac{21}{35}=\dfrac{30+21}{35}=\dfrac{51}{35}=\dfrac{35+16}{35}=1\dfrac{16}{35}
