Answer:

Revenge and Character Flaws

Explanation:

Generally, many characters cause problems for their flaws. Odysseus reveals his own name to the Cyclops because he wanted Polyphemus to know who had tricked him, which cause major problems later on. Also, Penelope doesn't ever send the suitors away. She promises them that after her mourning period, she'll choose someone to be her new husband. She doesn't intend to betray Odysseus, though, but it seems that she enjoys the attention that she is receiving.

Although it does talk a lot about human nature in many ways, the idea of revenge is frequently shown in the story. Odysseus wants revenge against Polyphemus, who then wants revenge against Odysseus. Later on, Odysseus eventually also kill all the suitors who were at his house taking advantage of the fact that he was absent.

What usually takes place during the climax of a story?
jeka57 [31]
Usually the Character is finding himself in a crisis or finding the solution to that conflict. Like a Hero defeating a villain or a evil element. The climax is usually characterized by high tension and drama. It is the highest spot in the plot. Hope this helps.

2. What does he mean when he writes, "Where activists were once defined by their
vodka [1.7K]

Answer:

The author means that now the tools are more important that the message itself.

Explanation:

The excerpt belongs to Small Change: Why the Revolution Won't Be Tweeted, an article written by Malcolm Gladwell, a Canadian journalist and writer. There, he discusses the impact of social media and other new tools in different movements across the world.

In this sentence, Gladwell means that the vehicle the message uses to travel is more important than the message itself. He uses as an example the case of Iran, where people got enough courage to uprise because of social media like Twitter. Even though it is an interesting idea, I don't totally agree with this. I think how the message travels is important, otherwise it could be really important but sterile. There's where the tools take more relevance; sometimes, due to different factors, the tools are faster and more efficient to use communication, but if the message is not relevant, then there are no good reasons to use the tools.
