vel. The purpose of expository writing is to logically explain and examine a topic or concept. In this essay, you will use information from The Namesake to support your explanation and examination. Expository writing presents an unbiased and balanced explanation of the facts—you do not take sides, include your opinion, or try to persuade readers in expository writing. Expository essays should always be written in third person and use the words he, she, it, and they. Never use the words I or you in an expository essay (unless you are using a direct quotation from another source).

Answer/Explanation:

Expository essay is form of writting that aims at helping the reader understand the content clearly and is able to convey the idea behind the write up.

There are five types of expository essay and the are namely:

Descriptive essays, Process essays, Comparison essays, Cause/effect essays and Problem/solution essays.

To begin a rough draft of an expository essay, there are frame works to which your rough draft should fit into and it is:

- Thesis statement

This should highlight the main points that will be talked about in your main work content

- Introduction

The introduction will give the reader a clearer view to what the essay is about.it should contain a "hook". A hook is a sentence or phrase that will make the reader interested in reading more.

- main body

At this point the topic or basic concept is explained and examined in details

- Conclusion

This is not a place where new ideas are introduced,it only deals with the main content reminding the reader be the main concept of the general topic and it returns back to the "hook".

When writing any essay, you need to plan. Look up the four square writing process. This will help you pick three main points to write about. Once you have those, you will place your story details (evidence, support, facts) under that topic. This will allow you to organize your writing, and will give you a vision for your thesis statement.  The thesis statement should start with, “Gogol’s definition of home changes throughout the story in the following ways:...” and lost the three ways. Those are the topics of your body paragraphs. Start the essay with and introduction and end with a conclusion.

17. Which phrase accurately defines the term narrative?
Alina [70]

Answer:

3

Explanation:

To be sincerely honest in my humble opinion without being sentimental and of course, without offending anyone who thinks differently from my opinion but rather looking into this serious matter with perspective distinction and without condemning anyone's point of view, I honestly think and believe that I have nothing to say.
