So “good luck” would actually cause bad luck for the actor. Thus, “break a leg”, by this logic, would be a wish for good luck. This is in line with the first documented instance of someone saying “break a leg” in terms of wishing them luck.
Well my argument with that is the fact that kids don't get to show self expression with the outfits they wear. It has it's good qualities as well though because it help prevent more bullying about what other children wear.
