Where would I put the colons in questions 4-8
pickupchik [31]

Answer:

Where the colons are supposed to go I have put "<u>:</u>"

4. The qualities she likes most in a person are as

follows<u>:</u> reliability, a good sense of humor, and a

willingness to work.

5. Learn to spell the following new words<u>:</u> aneurysm,

fluoroscope, peregrination, and serendipity.

6. An enduring statement of loyalty, found in Ruth

1 16, begins as follows<u>:</u> "Entreat me not to leave thee

or to return from following after thee, for whither

thou goest, I will go."

7. Mrs. Hughes named the three students who had

completed extra projects<u>:</u> Marshall, Helena, and

Regina.

8. From 8 00 A.M. until 6 00 P.M., Mr. Brooks sells<u>:</u>

brushes, brooms, and cleaning products.

Explanation:

Colons (:) introduce <u>clauses or phrases</u> that serve to<u> describe, amplify, or restate</u> what precedes (<u>to come before</u>) them. Often they are used to <u>introduce</u> a <u>quote</u> or a list that satisfies the previous statement. For example, this summary could be written as "<u><em>Colons</em></u><em> can introduce many things</em><u><em>:</em></u><em> descriptors, quotes, lists, and more.</em>"

Hope this helps! Brainliest would be much appreciated! Have a great day! :)

Should graffiti be illegal, yes or no? Give reasons or evidence to support your claim.
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

I do believe graffiti should be illegal.

Explanation:

The official definition of graffiti is, "writing or drawings scribbled, scratched, or sprayed illicitly on a wall or other surface in a public place". Meaning that graffiti is a form of vandalism. And because vandalism is illegal, I don't think any other forms of it should be considered 'ok'. That is my opinion on the subject. Note my 'opinion'.
