She needs to get at least how much she needs
how much she gets=number of candles per pack times number of packs
how much she gets=8*n

how much she needs =156

156≤8n
divide both sides by 8
19.5≤n
yo can't buy 19.5 packs, so round up
20 packs should be purchased

Which of the following equations represents a line that is paraellel to Y=5x-4 and passes through the point (3, 4)?
Ugo [173]

Answer:

D. y = 5x - 11.

Step-by-step explanation:

One equation of a straight line is y = mx + c where m = slope and c = the y-intercept..

Lines which are parallel  have the same slope.

So the equation  will be y = 5x + c so we have to find c.

As we are given a point on the line we now use the point slope form:

y - y1 = m(x - x1) where (x1, y1) is a point on the line:

The point is (3, 4) so we have:

y - 4 = 5(x - 3)

y - 4 = 5x - 15

y = 5x - 15 + 4

y = 5x - 11.
