For my psych 101 class I have to write an introduction paper and one of the topics to touch on "about me". I need help coming up

with character traits or just anything that would be useful to include. I'm awful when it comes to talking about myself.

So, maybe the previous answer might have some use. There were considerable thoughts in there. To add my own, maybe you could look at the five personality traits.

1.) Openness: This is the word used for those who are eager to learn and try new things. They tend to have wild imaginations and are incredibly curious, instead of sticking to the old ways and old habits.

2.) Introversion/extroversion: Introverts such as myself are known to be quieter and reserved. We don't usually act well under pressure or overstimulation. Extroverts, on the other hand, get most of their energy from being around crowds, and don't usually have much trouble just going up to someone and striking up a conversation, which is something I admire.

3.) Conscientiousness: If you're conscientious, then you always have a strong sense to work hard. You always try to hone everything you do to the best of your ability, for example, planning ahead. Notice the root word 'conscience'.

4.) Neuroticism: Neurotic people are prone to things like stress, breakdowns, anxiety, etc, because they constantly worry about things.

5.) Agreeableness: This is someone's capacity to show compassion to another. The opposite of this is paranoia, envy, and being competitive.

Here's an idea for you. For every one of the five traits, maybe you could rate them on a scale of one to ten, depending on how much you think this is part of you. Maybe you could also explain why, and give some other insight that your reader may find helpful.

For instance, if you think you are somewhere in between introversion and extroversion, you are an ambivert, and could mark that down as a five. You could also explain how neither of the qualities relate to you as much.

I hope this helped. Remember, these are suggestions. You don't have to do them if you don't want to. Best of luck on your paper, Nae. Hope this helped.

What do you like?

How do you feel about certain things like politics, food, sleeping, and other everyday simple matters?

Also, since I don't want to be a robot, just look up a list of character traits and use what matches you the best.

Hope I was of use. Have a nice day!

How does “My Mom, the Himalayan Mountain Climber" develop the theme that difficult events can have a positive impact? Be sure to
mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer:

It develops this theme by showing that when the writer's mom came to the United States, surviving was difficult but over the years she gained a lot of experience that made her become better.

Explanation:

The writer noted some difficult times in the life of her mother when they initially came to America, such as living in a small and dirty house. She persevered and worked hard to start her own dry cleaning business. Today, she has given her children the opportunity to acquire an education in America which would secure their future. She is also more experienced.

Just as a young inexperienced Himalayan climber finds the way up difficult, and surviving through the snowstorms and difficulties eventually gives him a beautiful view, so did the Korean mother start up her journey in America as a frail, naive, and determined person but eventually survived through the hard times to become an accomplished and experienced woman.
