Answer:

1. North Carolina --- Land grant to eight noblemen, became a colony of small individual farms.

2. New Jersey --- Colony named after Sir George Carteret's English home.

3. Georgia --- Ogletorphe did not allow slavery there.

4. South Carolina --- Land grant to eight noblemen, became a colony of large slave owning estates.

5. Delaware --- Colony purchased from the Duke of York by William Penn.

6. Pennsylvania --- Penn's woods.

Explanation:

1- The Province of North Carolina was one of the English colonies in North America, happened to form in the American state of North Carolina in 1776 and also a part of the province conformed by another territory to form the present states of Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi.

The province of North Carolina was originally formed by the Province of Carolina in British America between the years 1663 to 1712.

2- The Province of New Jersey was one of the English colonies in North America, it became the American state of New Jersey in 1776. The province was originally established as part of the New Netherlands, but fell under English rule after the surrender of Fort Amsterdam in 1664, where it was given the name of New Jersey in honor of Jersey, the birthplace of Sir George Carteret, first Lord Proprietor of the colony.

3- The province of Georgia was one of the southern Colonies of British America and the last of the Thirteen Colonies to become independent from the Kingdom of Great Britain and to join the United States.

On June 9, James Edward Ogletorphe was granted the government of lands between the Savannah and Altamaha rivers, and one of his first steps as governor was the prohibition of slavery in the new colony. The main reason for this decision was due to the fear that African slaves would flee to the neighboring Spanish colony of Florida and ally with the Spanish to destabilize the British settlements in Georgia.

4- The province of South Carolina was originally a part of the province of Carolina in British America, which was granted by a Royal Charter to eight Lords Proprietor in 1663. Later, the province became the US state of South Carolina.

5- The Delaware Colony was a British colony in North America. The first European settlers were Swedes and Dutch, but the country was under English control as early as 1664. In 1681, William Penn received a charter from the Duke of York for the lower counties of Delaware regardless of the act he already held for the province of Pennsylvania.

6- The Province of Pennsylvania was founded in British America by William Penn on March 4, 1681 as dictated by a royal cedula of Charles II of England. The name of Pennsylvania is roughly translated as "Penn's woods", as it was created by combining the Penn name with the Latin word "sylvania", which means "woodlands".
