As Western economies started to crumble, various political parties
emerged or gained strength. Fascist groups, communist groups, and more.
These parties blamed western democracies for the hard economic times and
argued that democratic societies are unreliable.
Answer: Farmland and superior military leadership. The southearn soldiers could live on the land much better than the north.
Explanations: North was based on factory’s mostly and South wanted slaves and they did plantations and stuff so that’s why they wanted it.
World war 1 broke out in 1914 because a group of Serbian nationalists (The Black Hand) assassinated the duke of Austria-Hungary. Austria -Hungary threatened Serbia with a bunch of wishes that they wanted Serbia to due for them. Due to the treaty between Serbia and Russia, Serbia said no. Germany, who had a treaty with Austria-Hungary threatened to attack if Russia mobilized its army. Russia did and Germany invaded Belgium. This brought Great Britain and France into the war.
Many Americans experienced shock, grief, and even delight as they learned of the president's passing. Many voiced their sentiments in public, while others wrote in their letters and diaries to convey their joy or despair. Disbelief was the initial response to Lincoln's passing.
