In what ways was the Berlin Conference extremely unfair fr Africans
tamaranim1 [39]
The Berlin Conference of 1884 - 85 was a meeting held in Berlin between European Nations to create rules on how to peacefully divide Africa among them for colonization. It was unfair to the Africans in the following ways: 1. There was no consent from the Africans, and they were not consulted in any way. 2. It banned the slave trade in name only. Slavery was rife particularly in Belgian controlled Congo. 3. European powers ended up exploiting the African colonies economically, in the name of civilizing them, and let go often only after armed freedom struggles by the Africans.

Summarize the details of McCulloch v. Marylnd and Gibbons v. Ogden from Jackson’s perspective?
tankabanditka [31]
Andrew Jackson opposed the establishment of a national, federal bank and he would have opposed the McCulloch v. Maryland decision. Furthermore, he denied that the ruling prevented him from vetoing legislation extending the charter of the Second Bank of the United States. Jackson would also have opposed the ruling in Gibbons v. Ogden, which he would have said expanded the Congress's power to cover interstate commerce to also include commercial navigation.
