English

It was a Victorian room. The authencity of each and every detail made it obvious. Richly carved book cases. Lining the shelves were books covered with intricate detail, the gold lettering spidery and delicate. The ornamentation along the desk; The parquet floor: everything a Victorian Library had made it seem vintage and cosy.

Without adjectives, we could not describe things. Color would be less precious to us: there would be cars, but not red cars or blue cars or black cars. In describing a cat to someone who’s never owned a cat, all you could say is, “A cat is an animal with ears and a tail.” You couldn’t explain its soft fur or sharp claws.

Which phrase from Sonnet 30 by William Shakespeare suggests that the speaker cries when he starts to reminisce?
navik [9.2K]

Answer: "I drown an eye"

Explanation: A phrase is a word or group of words that function as a single unit in the syntax of a sentence, usually consisting of a head, or central word, and elaborating words.

The phrase from Sonnet 30 by William Shakespeare suggests that the speaker cries when he starts to reminisce is "I drown an eye". The full line 5 is given as: "Then can I drown an eye, unus'd to flow," which indicates that the speaker wept heavily despite that he rarely cries.

The sonnet 30 was first published in 1609 a time wherein young Shakespeare recently arrived the city of London, and broods on life's disappointments which elicits sorrows and pain.
