How can eye color be inherited?

Biology

eye color isn't only inherited from your parents eye color. they could have recessive blue eye genes and have dominant brown eye alleles, therefore there is a chance you get blue eyes though both of your parents have brown. there is a fairly low chance, but it is still possible. let's say your mom has blue eyes and your dad has brown eyes, there is more of a chance that you get brown eyes, whereas if your dad also had blue eyes, you would have a 50% chance to get blue eyes since blue eyes are recessive. hopefully this helped ♡

During respiration, members of the animal kingdom use ______ and then release ______ as a waste gas.
Debora [2.8K]

Answer:

C

Explanation:

Let's look at the cellular respiration equation

oxygen+glucose--> water + carbon dioxide + ATP

In the process, oxygen is used. We inhale oxygen and use it in cellular respiration. We then create carbon dioxide which is exhaled out. We don't use the carbon dioxide, so it is the waste product.

Therefore, the answer is C. Oxygen is used, and carbon dioxide is released as waste.

Fill in the blanks:
gulaghasi [49]

Answer:ATP, Endergonic, Phosphate group, ATP synthase, Exergonic

Explanation:

1. ATP is the energy currency of the cell. The energy released from the hydrolysis of ATP is use to drive cellular work.

2. ATP are used to drive endergonic reaction. Endergonic reaction are energy requiring hence ATP is hydroxyze to release energy to power endergonic reaction.

3.ATP is formed when a phosphate group is transferred to ADP. Which is an example of endergonic reaction

ADP+Pi+free energy→ATP+H2O.

4. The oxidative phosphorylation of ADP to ATP is catalyze by the enzyme ATP synthase.

5. ATP synthesis is an endergonic reaction in which free energy is needed to phosphorylate ADP to ATP and the reaction is driven by Exergonic reaction.

All but one of the girl's traits are determined by her chromosomes. that is
dolphi86 [110]

Out of the following given choices;

A) her sex.

B) how tall she is.

C) how long her hair is.

D) the color of her eyes.

The answer is C. The length of hair is not determined by genetics but rather by the time period of the growth phase (anagen phase) of the hair follicle, before shedding in the telogen phase. The longer the anagen phase the longer the hair will be before shedding. The hair on the head has longer anagen phase compared to hair in regions such as the eyebrows.
