The correct answer is: the Korean Peninsula was divided along the 38th Parallel after World war II.
Currently the border is moved slightly(rather to the north) and the border is know as the Demarcation line - it's also no longer straight, as it was when it was the 38th parallel.

to converge means to bring something together, that's how I always remembered. Transform boundaries move side to side, and are the reason for mainly fault lines, such as the San Andreas Fault in California. All plate boundaries do occur at subduction zones.
