How do I write a letter of recommendation for a nursing program?
Natalija [7]
<span><span>Understand the purposeBefore writing, think about the purpose of the letter. Consider how formal the letter should be, and establish a proper tone for the letter. These letters should almost never have a conversational tone, but there are certainly different levels of formality. Unless you know the person reading the letter, address the recipient as, "To whom it may concern" in the greeting.</span><span>Introduce the subjectTell the reader who you are recommending for which position or program. Then give a brief summation of the reasons you are recommending the person.</span><span>List accomplishments and character traitsProvide more details about what it is like to work or interact with the subject. List skills and other characteristics that pertain to the position. Avoid listing unrelated information, but remember that some personality traits or skills may be applicable, even if they are not explicitly related. Do not assume a non-nursing skill is not applicable to nursing; give it some thought.</span><span>Predict the futureBefore concluding, write a paragraph that tells how you anticipate the subject's performance if accepted to the target program or position. For example: "I am confident that XX will be a perfect fit and has the skills to succeed in the YY position (or program)."</span><span>Close and signEnd the letter with a formal closing such as "Sincerely," or "Sincere thanks." If possible, be sure to include an actual signature, generally placed above a typed version of your name.</span></span>

2.2) Put the verbs into the past simple or past continuous.
Ludmilka [50]

We can complete the sentences considering that the past continuous indicates the action that was taking place when another action happened (simple past).

  • Were... driving? / stopped
  • was snowing / left
  • didn't see / was working
  • called / was talking
  • were studying / met
  • Were... living / had

<h3>What is the simple past tense?</h3>

The simple past tense is the form of the verb we use to indicate that an action took place in the past. We use the simple past tense when the action has already finished.

Examples:

  • Affirmative: I saw you at the party last night.
  • Negative: I didn't see you at the party last night.
  • Interrogative: Did you see me at the party last night?

<h3>What is the past continuous tense?</h3>

The past continuous tense is used to indicate that an action had a longer duration in the past, that is, that it started in the past, lasted for a while, and then ended.

Examples:

  • Affirmative: She was watching her favorite cartoon.
  • Negative: She wasn't watching her favorite cartoon.
  • Interrogative: Was she watching her favorite cartoon.

The two tenses can be used in the same sentence to indicate that one action - simple past - interrupted another action - past continuous - or happened while the other action was taking place.

Example:

  • I was cooking when someone rang the doorbell.

I need help!
Lady bird [3.3K]

Answer:

The antagonist is Lily's (protagonist) father, who is struggling with accepting the past

(spoilers if you've never read the novel/seen the movie)

T. Ray, Lily's father, actually has a very complicated mindset. But let's get something out of the way, he is abusive to Lily. He hurt people because he didn't want to deal with his own emotions after Debroah's (mother of Lily) death. That being said, in some absurd way, he does care for Lily. His mindset is like this, and also keep in mind T. Ray was a huge racist too:

Beginning of the story: Hurt and angry, and doesn't know how to process it. He takes it out on Lily.

Middle of the story: Lily left, even more hurt and angry, betrayed also. He needs to find Lily before anyone hurts her (implying the ladies running the bee farm)

End of the story: Lily doesn't want to come home? He doesn't want to hurt her anymore after seeing he protest. So, after the angry rampage, he leaves her be. He accepts that she isn't in danger at all.

I don't want to write the whole thing for you, since I have no clue how you write, and also I believe you can do it! I hope this helps (I've only seen the movie so I could have missed some things)

In hexagonal writing and analysis of literary devices explores
MakcuM [25]

In hexagonal writing and analysis of literary devices explores how well literary elements work separately and together.

Hexagonal writing constitutes a prewriting strategy primarily employed by anyone writing  literature papers. Each side of the hexagon aims to a different analytical focus: 1) Knowledge: plot summary; comprehension; relating to characters on a personal level; application: identifying  universal themes; analysis: discussion of literary devices, tone; synthesis: allusions to other literary  sources; judgement: critical evaluation.
