, and high blood pressure. If not controlled, stress can lead to more serious illnesses, such as heart disease. It can also have a negative impact on relationships. Stress in the workplace has been of interest to many scholars and organisations due to the impact it can have on one's efficiency and performance at work. There is an apparent high prevalence of stress among public sector workers and those in managerial positions. Stress at work is thought to be caused by work overload, internal and external pressure, shift work patterns, and dissatisfaction with one's work. Speaking of the coronavirus situation, many things have changed including the workplaces and the amount of employees. Since many workers are still expected to work under the stressful and scary situations from the virus, it can become more stressful ontop of the other things that they might be going through or feeling, this would increase stress in the workplace in the next few years.
