Answer:

9 grams

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use these equations:

y = ax

 • Where y is the total amount of baking soda (in mg)
 • Where a is the number of servings
 • Where x is the amount of baking soda in one single serving (in mg)

Here we know that y = 1800 and a = 2, so we will need to solve for x

 • Solving for x we get x= \frac{y}{a} and plugging in our known values we get x = \frac{1800}{2} and this simplifies to 900
 • This means one serving contains 900 mg of baking soda

We can now change the equation to solve for the total amount of baking soda required to serve 10 people

 • We know that a = 10 and x = 900
 • The equation is already solved for y, so plugging in our new values we have y = (10)(900) = 9000 mg
 • The recipe will require 9000 mg in order to serve 10 people

Now there are 1000 mg in 1 g, so converting mg to g we have 9000 mg is equivalent to 9 grams

Freezer A measures 1 ft times 1 ft times 5 ft and sells for $300. Freezer B measures 1.5 ft times 1.5 ft times 4 ft and sells f
Sladkaya [172]

Answer:

Freezer A is better option as price per cubic foot is less for Freezer A

Step-by-step explanation:

Data provided in the question:

Measure of Freezer A = 1 ft × 1 ft × 5 ft

Measure of Freezer B = 1.5 ft × 1.5 ft × 4 ft

Price of Freezer A = $300

Price of Freezer B = $600

Now,

Volume of Freezer A = 1 ft × 1 ft × 5 ft

= 5 ft³

Volume of Freezer B = 1.5 ft × 1.5 ft × 4 ft

= 9 ft³

Now,

Price per cubic foot for Freezer A = $300 ÷ 5 ft³

= $60/ft³

Price per cubic foot for Freezer B = $600 ÷ 9 ft³

= $66.67/ft³

Hence,

Freezer A is better option as price per cubic foot is less for Freezer A

I need help on this, will someone try and help me out? PLEASE
sattari [20]
Step 1.) Multiply both sides of the equation by -6

step 2.) Sum the equations vertically to eliminate at least one variable

step 3.) Divide both sides of the equation by

step 4.) Substitute the given value of into the equation x - 2y = 10

step 5.) Solve the equation for x

step 6.) The possible solution of the system is the ordered pair (x , y)

step 7.) Check if the given ordered pair is the solution of the system of equations

step 8.) Simplify the equalities

step 9.) Since all of the equalities are true, the ordered pair is the solution of the system

So your answer would end up being (40/13 , -45/13) !! Hope that helps you out :D !!

(-2x-1)^2=0 How to solve brackets, please help
malfutka [58]
Not quite sure what you mean by brackets, but you can get the solution to this equation in a few steps:

(-2x - 1)² = 0 ... square root both sides to eliminate the squared binomial
√(-2x - 1)² = √0 ... simplify; the square is canceled out and the root of 0 brings you back to 0
-2x - 1 = 0 ... solve like a two-step equation
-2x = 1
x = -1/2 is your x-value.

Surface area of 18 12 and 4 plz help!
Liula [17]
You would start off by finding the base, which is 18*12. That equals 216 meters squared, you multiply that by 2 to get the surface area of your 2 bases. That equals 432 meters squared. To find the surface area of the sides (on the left and right side), you would use the equation length times height. To plug in the numbers, you use 12*4, that is 48 meters squared. There are 2 sides, so multiply by 2, to get 96 meters squared. To find the last side, you take length times width, plug in the numbers. Those numbers are 4*18, which equals 72 meters squared. Once again, there are two sides, so you multiply by 2, to get 144 meters squared. Next, as the final step, you add up all of the final numbers. They are: 432+96+144 which equals 672 meters squared.

Your final answer is 672 meters squared.

I hope this helps!

find the perimeter and total area of the composite shape shown below. All measurements are given in inches. Use pie=3.14 in any
kozerog [31]

Square part of perimeter = 40.

Half circle = 25.135.

Together 65.135 is perimeter.

Area of square: 192

Are of half circle: 100.53.

Together 292.53

Rounded =292.48 I guess, its the most logical option since I don't see it and the only one that fits perimeter answer.

So its the 3rd question I believe, you may want to double check.
