Answer:

Acceleration and velocity are two different things.  The acceleration is the rate at which the velocity is increasing.  So while the velocity very well may be increasing, the rate (acceleration) at which it is, is decreasing.

The area of an equilateral triangle is given by the formula A=√3/4(s)^2. Which formula represents the length of an equilateral t
Orlov [11]

\frac{\sqrt{3}}{4} s^2 = A

We need to essentially switch s with A

s²√3 = 4A

s² = (4A)/√3

s = √[(4A)/√3]

s = \sqrt{\frac{4A}{\sqrt{3}}}

Chicago Pizza charges $10.49 for a medium 14" pepperoni pizza and NY Pizza charges $20.99 for an x-large 18" pepperoni pizza.
Leona [35]

Answer;

The cost is $0.07 per  square inch

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question, we are asked to calculate the cost of the Chicago pizza per square inch rounded to the nearest cent.

Firstly, we will need to calculate the area occupied by the 14 inch medium pepperoni pizza made by Chicago pizza

Since the pizza is circular in shape, we use the formula for the area of a circle to calculate its area in square inch

Mathematically, the area of a circle is equal to π . Here, our r is half the size of the pizza as the 14 inch represents the full length of the pizza across the center of the pizza ( This is the diameter) d=2r or r = D/2 = 14/2=  7 inch

The area is thus = 22/7 × 7 × 7 = 154 square inch

Now, since the full pizza costs $10.49, the cost of the pizza per square inch is 10.49/154 = 0.068 = $0.07 per  square inch
