following a meal, glucose must move from the gut lumen, where there is a high glucose concentration, through membrane proteins a
True [87]

Following a meal, glucose must move from the gut lumen, where there is a high glucose concentration, through membrane proteins and into intestinal cells, where there is a relatively low level of glucose. this movement is called diffusion

This is simply because glucose moves from a region where it is highly concentrated in the gut lumen to a region of less concentration in the intestinal wall.

Diffusion

Diffusion can simply be defined as the movement of substances from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration.

So therefore, Following a meal, glucose must move from the gut lumen, where there is a high glucose concentration, through membrane proteins and into intestinal cells, where there is a relatively low level of glucose. this movement is called diffusion

are all of the cells in a multicellular organism exactly the same or do they have diffrent sizes and shapes?
Igoryamba
They have different sizes and shapes. An example would be a tomato and a grape. Tomatoes are red, grapes are purple/green. Grapes are small, tomatoes (most of them) are large. This must be because the cells that make the tomatoes differ from the one that makes the grapes. Hope this helped/made sense :)
