The chicano movement was very similar to the black power movement because the two correlated with equal treatment due to chicanos being discriminated against for racist stereotypes which is something similar that happened that caused the black power movement. Also people that were o color were not given same economic or educational opportunities to those who were not colored. Well, similarly the chicano movement also caused education reforms but also added extended to land restoration and rights for farmers.  Hope this helped.
