Answer:

Explanation:

Expected return of the portfolio is weighted average of the return of the components.

E(R) = w1 * R1 + w2 * R2

E(R) = 65% * 18% + 35% * 6%

E(R) = 11.70% + 2.10%

Expected Return, E(R) = 13.80%

Standard deviation of portfolio is mathematically represented as:

\sigma =\sqrt{w_1^2\sigma _1^2+w_2^2\sigma _2^2+2w_1w_2p_{1,2}\sigma_1\sigma_2}

where

w1 = the proportion of the portfolio invested in Asset 1

w2 = the proportion of the portfolio invested in Asset 2

σ1 = Asset 1 standard deviation of return

σ2 = Asset 2 standard deviation of return

For risk free money market fund, standard deviation = 0 and its correlation with risky portfolio = 0

\sigma =\sqrt{ (0.65 * 0.30)^2 + (0.35 * 0)^2 + (2 * 0.65 * 0.30*0.35 *0*0)} \\\\= \sqrt{0.038025 +0+0} \\\\ = 0.195

Standard deviation = 19.50%

If cost of goods sold under FIFO was $8,000 and was $10,000 under LIFO, assuming a tax rate of 40%, how much tax savings resulte
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

$800

Explanation:

The computation of the tax saving from using LIFO is shown below:

= Cost of goods sold under LIFO × tax rate  - Cost of goods sold under FIFO × tax rate

= $10,000 × 40% - $8,000 × 40%

= $4,000 - $3,200

= $800

By applying the above formula, the tax saving resulted from using the LIFO is $800 and the same is to be considered

Afina-wow [57]

Answer:

Dexter Inc.

The statement that best supports Brooke's perspective is:

Examples of cooperation between labor and management include employee involvement in decision making and self-managing teams.

Explanation:

When labor and management act as rivals or adversaries, it does not benefit their organizations.  They should find common grounds for cooperation.  Organizations should involve their employees in more decision-making.  Despite their incongruent goals, unions and management should find win-win solutions.  Paying employees a living wage does not impoverish the organization.  On the contrary, everybody is greatly enriched.

<u> The weight of debt for WACC purposes is 23.08%</u>

Explanation:

Amount of debt = 2 million x 0.90

Amount of equity = 2 million x 3
