Answer:

In order for the case to be heard, four justices must agree to hear the case. This is known as the Rule of Four. If four justices vote to hear the case, then it is placed onto the court's docket and the parties and their attorney's are notified that the Supreme Court agrees to hear the case.

Instead, its impact was more indirect because the main way in which the telegraph improved American life during this time was by making it easier for big businesses to operate. Railroads used telegraphs a lot because they needed to be able to communicate instantly between far-flung stations.

During World War II the telegraph system was used extensively with the troops and their leaders as a way to communicate inconspicuously over long distances.

They where extremely helpful during those times now they are very rare to come across .
