Answer:

The Lady with the Dog:

1. Anna felt she was "sinning" because of her adulterous affair with Dmitri Dmitritch Gurov, who was not his legitimate husband.

2. Having fallen in love, their feelings for each other would push them to seek each other.

3. An obsequious man is one who appears to be obedient or subservient because of his self-interest.  Such a man may be so attentive to another person or entity, obviously serving their needs and pandering to their whims and caprices, because he has an agenda to achieve.  Obsequious men can be deceptive, as their real intentions are difficult to decipher.  They can carry out any tasks for those they relate with because they wish to achieve an ulterior motive or enjoy some undue advantages based on their sycophancy.  They can be very dangerous at the end of their capricious antics.

4. Anna went to Yalta to escape from her unfulfilling marriage to her husband, and perhaps find a lover to quench her taste.  But, the reason she must have given her husband was to just vacation.  The truth can be explained by subsequent escapades with Dmitri at Yalta.

Explanation:

"The Lady with the Dog" is an 1899 short story by Anton Chekhov, which describes the adulterous affair between Dmitri Dmitritch Gurov, an unhappily married Moscow banker, and Anna Sergeyevna Von Diderits, a young married woman.  The illicit affair begins when the two adults vacationed in the Crimean (Black) sea resort of Yalta without their respective spouses.

The story consists of four parts.  In Part 1, there was the initial meeting in Yalta between the adulterous partners.  Part 2 shows the two partners consummating their illicit affair and spending their remaining time together in Yalta.   In Part 3, Gurov returns to Moscow and then visits Anna's town in search of her.  Part 4 captures Anna's occasional visits to Moscow to solidify their sexual encounters and love dreams.  But, the story ends without a resolution of the partners' conflict to legitimize their affairs.
