That is unless they have a fully trained army, air force, and navy. Until then, we're more so of a police force abroad. And unlike WW1 all of the troops in Iraq are volunteers nowadays. The American society is one to always be the go-getter. "Knockout in the first round" type of people. Think about Vietnam. It was a war that had gone on too long, and soldiers died every day. Soldiers still die, don't get me wrong. However, all of them volunteered to be there. Isn't that enough in itself?
