Steps for solving:

Start by putting your x's together on the left side of the inequality by subtracting 2x from both sides to give you 6x - 6 > 12.

Next, put your numbers together on the right by

adding 6 to both sides and we have 6x > 18.

Divide both sides by 6 and x > 3.

I have also graphed x > 3 for you on a number line.

Just start with an open dot at 3 and we use an open dot because x > 3 but it is not equal to 3 and then we draw an arrow to the right on our number line to represent all numbers greater than 3.

Finally, you can write your answer

in set notation which is {x : x > 3}.

All this means is that if we take any number greater than 3 and plug it back in for x in our original problem, we will get a true statement.

In this problem, 5 is the only value that would make this inequality true because it's greater than 3.

Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation:

8x - 6 > 12 + 2x

Subtract 2x from each

8x -2x -6 > 12+2x-2x

6x -6 > 12

Add 6 to each side

6x -6+6 > 12+6

6x > 18

Divide by 6

6x/6 > 18/6

x > 3

The only value greater than 3 is 5

I need help with this math
Zinaida [17]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

∠1 + ∠2  =  180   {Supplementary angles}

6x + 15 + 3x + 3 = 180

6x + 3x + 15 + 3 = 180

Combine like terms

9x + 18 = 180

Subtract 18 from both sides

9x = 180 - 18

9x = 162

x = 162/9

x = 18

∠2 = 3x +3

     = 3*18 + 3

     = 54 + 3

∠2 = 57°

Volume of Spheres
Oliga [24]
It’s simple. The volume of a sphere is V=4/3πr^3.. so you will convert the mm to m okay?? 10mm=1cm .. so do your conversion from here then when you get the radius then you will substitute it into the volume where r is the radius.. so for the first one l changed mm to cm so.. radius is 4cm then l substitute it into the formula so l got 270 after rounding it to the nearest tenth.. pi=22/7 bear in mind. So do the same for the other one
