You might want to find the IQR, but 23 will most likely be an outlier. Find the mean of all the points except 23 by summing all of the data and then dividing by the number of data points.

Basically add everything except 23 and then divide by seven, then compare that to the mean of all 8 points (which you get by adding everything including 23 and dividing by eight).

Simplify:<br>1/1-x^(b-a)+1/1-x^(a-b)
Pachacha [2.7K]

Answer:

<h3>1</h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

simplify:

1/1-x^(b-a)+1/1-x^(a-b)

\frac{1}{1-x^{b-a}} + \frac{1}{1-x^{a-b}}\\= \frac{1-x^{a-b} + 1-x^{b-a}}{(1-x^{b-a})(1-x^{a-b})}\\=  \frac{1-x^{a-b} + 1-x^{b-a}}{(1-x^{b-a}-x^{a-b}+x^{b-a+a-b})}\\= \frac{1-x^{a-b} + 1-x^{b-a}}{(1-x^{b-a}-x^{a-b}+1)}\\= \frac{2-x^{a-b}-x^{b-a}}{2-x^{b-a}-x^{a-b}}\\= 1\\ \\

Hence the required answer is 1

1/2 = 1/a + b/c make b the subject
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

b = \frac{ac-2c}{2a}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

\frac{1}{2} = \frac{1}{a} + \frac{b}{c}

Multiply through by 2ac to clear the fractions

ac = 2c + 2ab ( subtract 2c from both sides )

ac- 2c = 2ab ( divide both sides by 2a )

\frac{ac-2c}{2a} = b

Ram can travel 20km by a motorcycle in 1 litre of petrol.how far can he travel from 5 litres of petrol?Also,how much petrol will
raketka [301]

Answer:

On 5 liters of petroleum he can go 100km.

He needs 37.5 liters of petroleum to go 750km.

Step-by-step explanation:

He goes 20km on 1 liter. Now we must find how far he can go on 5 liters.

1 * 5 = 5

20 * 5 = 100

The reason we multiplied was because we had to multiply 1 by 5 to get the number of liters of petroleum and what you to one side you must do to the other.

To find how many liters are needed to go 750km you must divide:

750/20 = 37.5

He needs 37.5 liters of petroleum to travel 750km.

Hope this helps! :)
