In "Warriors don't cry" by Melba Pattillo Beals, the plot of the book is well presented and the story is well written using figurative language to get the points across. making the story to flow smoothly. There are also several themes presented in the book which importance of family and faith is one of.

The plot of the story is interesting read and well placed throughout the novel. The reader can imagine or envision what is happening in the novel in their heads because the author is descriptive. This novel is a firsthand account of the time Melba Pattillo Beals and eight members of little rock nine had spend at central high school.

In this novel, the readers get to see the racism that Melba faced and imagine the pain they went through. The author effectively portrays the villainy of racism and made the readers realize that acceptance as well as tolerance is the way to go. The book is basically an autobiography.
