Because there were a set of rules that governed how music would be composed and performed, the earliest examples, including Greg

orian chants, were mostly monophonic (def. singular line of music); however, as time passed and the rules were either broken or discarded, music became increasingly polyphonic (def. many voices), which may have been attributed to the fact that Renaissance musicians sought to create a melody for every voice in their compositions. Homophony (def. two parts consisting of a melody and accompaniment) soon followed in the footsteps of polyphony, rising to prominence around the start of the Baroque Period. Since then, each of the three types of texture--monophony, homophony, and polyphony--helped lay the foundation upon which music would continue to thrive and evolve.
Provide 5-7 examples of each type of texture, being sure to include things both musical and non-musical.

How can an artist create a sculpture that is interesting from many perspectives?
qaws [65]

Well from personal experience I would have asked what kind of sculpture they would want and if it has to deal with people go to heavily populated cities and just look around and sooner or later you will eventually you will find a few people that will take your breath away and just keep that thought in your head then just go for it, If it has to deal with nature I would go out side with a camera and just explore abit and take pictures of animals then when you think you found it do the same thing you would do for a person sculpture, and just motivate yourself.

Which principle of anmiation deals with imparting a unique identity to the animated character
kolezko [41]

Animation is a complex form of art.  Depending on the style (Realistic, Cartoony, Simplified, etc.), and depending on the medium (3D, 2D, Stop Motion, etc.), there are many techniques, rules and guidelines that an animator must follow.  However, regardless of the style or medium, there are 12 basic principles of animation that always hold true.  These 12 principles were established by Disney’s infamous “Old Men” in the 1930’s, and are still universally regarded as the standards for quality animation today.

Which of the following examples has four beats in each measure?
irga5000 [103]

Answer:

A.

Explanation:

I included two pictures that I found that show the duration of each note and rest. If you use your knowledge of the duration of notes (or these pictures), you can see that you need either 4 quarter notes (or quarter rests) or 8 eighth notes (or eighth rests) to have 4 beats in one measure.

You can use the images I provided to help you count out the total number of beats in each measure. Each option uses a variety of eighth rests, eighth notes, and quarter notes.

When you count the number of beats in Option B, there are only 3 beats in each measure.

When you count the number of beats in Option C, there are only 2 beats in each measure.

When you count the number of beats in Option A, there ARE 4 beats in each measure.

Option D is clearly not the answer.

If you need more help or further explanation, let me know and I would be happy to help! I hope this helps!! Have a lovely day!!! :)
