A parabola has a vertex. The vertex is the point of a parabola where it changes direction. It also has an axis of symmetry which is an imaginary line that cuts it in two equal parts. A parabola may have x-intercepts ("zeros") which are points where the graph cross the x-axis. It may have x-intercepts which are points where the graph cross the x-axis.
