How did Coolidge justify sending troops into Nicaragua? American business interests needed to be protected. He was keeping to Am
Svetach [21]

Answer:

American business interests needed to be protected

Explanation:

The intervention of the United States in Nicaragua was mostly because of economic interests. The us wanted to have full control of the small Central American nation as it was located in a place that had the potential to be both of great benefit for the United States, but also to create a lot fo economic damage. One of those economic reasons was the planned canal in Nicaragua, that was going to compete with the one in Panama. Having the Panama canal under their control, the US didn't wanted another one that was going to compete with it and take away large portion of the money that they had secured with it.

What tensions between the allies were revealed at the conferences in casablanca, cairo, and tehran?
elena55 [62]
A primary tension between the Allies was tension between the Western partners (the USA, Britain, and France) over against the Eastern powers (the USSR and China) - and there was tension between the USSR and China as well.  There were tensions about how war ends would be pursued.  The USSR under Josef Stalin particularly wanted assurances that the war would be fought until an unconditional surrender by both Germany and Japan. Stalin also wanted a second front to be opened in the war in Europe, to relieve pressure on the Eastern front where Germany was battling the USSR.

Roosevelt, Churchill and DeGaulle (representing the US, Britain, and France) met at Casablanca in January, 1943.  Stalin was invited but did not attend due to the difficult state of the war in the USSR at that time.  They promised to fight on to the Axis Powers' unconditional surrender. They also discussed opening a second front in Western Europe, but did not determine a specific plan.

Roosevelt, Churchill, and Chiang Kai-shek of China met in Cairo in November, 1943, focused particularly on dealing with Japan and the future status of Korea.  Stalin had refused to attend this conference because of China's participation.  (Those two nations were rivals to one another.)

Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin met in Tehran in November, 1943, just days after the close of the Cairo Conference.  Plans for an invasion into France were discussed, to open up a Western front in the European theater of war.  This would be Operation Overlord, which we now typically refer to as the "D-Day" invasion at Normandy.

Contrasting What was the belief of those who opposed the formation of political parties? What was the belief of those who
Nata [24]

Answer: Individuals who opposed political parties saw them as dangerous tools which will lead to the downfall of our Government and disintegration of our union. This most notably can be seen in the birth years of the United States of America, the Founding Fathers warned strongly against factions and party spirit. They feared most greatly that these would cause partisanship, which is were a party will place their interests above the nations.

This can very easily be observed in the U.S.A, it is sadly a two party system (yes their are more but Republics and Democrats dominate the landscape), these two parties control who gets into the Presidential debates (have you ever seen a independent or green party win a state?). They do this by controlling how outspoken individuals in their party are and run campaigns against candidates they do not improve of, as can be seen by the DNC harsh treatment of Bernie Sanders, while backing Biden.

Some see these parties as being here for the interest of their political bodies and not the Nation as a whole.

On the otherhand, you have those who wished for strong politcal parties.

Such can be observed by the Federalists, who were led by Alexander Hamilton.

The Federalists wanted a strong central government and believed that liked minded individuals would foster progress and would lead to unification.
