Nonguarders: Most freshwater fish do not guard their eggs, but scatter their eggs. Trout hide their eggs in depressions or "nests" of stones. The number of eggs a female trout produces is determined by her size. An 8-inch fish may lay only 300 eggs, while the nest of a 12-inch nest may contain 1,000 eggs!

Guarders: Some species of fish such as darters and catfish guard their eggs. Males will chase off predators.

Bearers: These fish carry their young as they develop, either inside the female or outside, often in the mouth of the male. Sharks, rays, molly and gambusia give birth to live young.

During which step of the water cycle does water combine with pollutants on Earth's surface?
Troyanec [42]

The correct answer is option C, that is a runoff.

The water from rain, snowmelt, or other sources is known as surface runoff, it flows over the land surface, and is a prime constituent of the water cycle. Runoff, which takes place on the surfaces prior to reaching a channel is also known as overland flow. When flowing of runoff takes place along the ground, it can pick up soil contaminants like pesticides, petroleum, or fertilizers, which turn into overland or discharged flow.

According to the ____________ theory of biological aging, dna in body cells is gradually damaged through spontaneous or external
aliina [53]

The Cross-Linkage Theory or also referred to as the glycosylation theory of aging was discovered or proposed by Johan Bjorksten in the 1940s. According to this theory, the aggregation of cross-linked proteins can damage cells and tissues this slowing down the bodily processes that eventually results to aging. In recent studies, cross-linking is associated with age-related changes in the studied proteins. Furthermore, this theory stresses out that the binding of glucose to proteins can cause various problems. Once the said binding occurs, the protein becomes impaired which leads to its performance inefficiency. Living a longer life would also mean increasing the possibility of oxygen-glucose meeting and protein. Some of the known cross-linking disorders include senile cataract and the appearance of tough, leathery, yellow skin.
