We waited for two hours, but no birds came. My sisters became restless. Finally my Dad said, "Let's go, they aren't coming this year." As we walked out to the parking lot, my sister Abby looked up. "Look at all the birds!" she exclaimed. It was indeed the swallows. And to think we almost drove away and missed the swallows' return to Capistrano.
