Answer:

First, he addresses the American public when he says, “My countrymen, one and all, think calmly and well upon this whole subject.”

He also speaks to the people who are on the fence regarding secession. He says, “That there are persons in one section or another who seek to destroy the Union at all events and are glad of any pretext to do it I will neither affirm nor deny; but if there be such, I need address no word to them. To those, however, who really love the Union may I not speak?”

He addresses Southerners who are threatening to secede as "fellow-countrymen": "In your hands, my dissatisfied fellow-countrymen, and not in mine, is the momentous issue of civil war.”

He could also be talking to other audiences, such as the international community amid the growing tension in the United States. Lincoln would want to reassure allies abroad of his authority as the new president.

I would say that the word "Testimonies" or "Testimonials" could fit in the blank. A testimonial is when someone discusses how your product, or argument is beneficial or correct.

In this case, practicing your speech and going to the movie are two cognitions that are inconsistent with one another. The goal of persuasion is to induce enough dissonance in listeners that they will change their attitudes, values, beliefs, or behaviors

What point of view is used in "Was It a Dream?" How would a different point of view change the story? In one to two paragraphs,
ss7ja [257]

The point of view used in "Was it a dream?" is the one of a man totally in love as to the point that he could not conceive life without his loved.

If he had loved her in a more consciously way he might have been able to deal with the fact of her illness and probably things would have been different.

The author communicates feelings about love relationships by describing in detail the many sensations about his loved woman.  It was a love almost crazy, desperate and like if nothing else in the world existed.

This kind of feeling is really very risky since the person centers life in that love and if love breaks or one of the couple dies simply life ends up.
