Imagine that all plant life on earth was suddenly wiped out. What effect would this have on the atmospheric gases and how would

Plants provide the earth with lots of energy and trees provide oxygen, so having plants wiped out would basically just wipe out everything that’s living. the climate levels would also go down as there is no oxygen or energy to provided to keep the life cycle continuing.

Jim wants to plan a meal with 148 grams of carbohydrates and 1240 calories. if green beans have 7 grams of carbohydrates and 30
alex41 [277]

Answer;

16 half-cup servings of beans and 4 three oz. servings of shrimp

Explanation and solution;

Let x = number of half-cup servings of beans

Let y = number of 3 oz. servings of shrimp

We will have 2 equations, one for carbs and one for calories

7x + 9y = 148

30x + 190y = 1240

30(7x + 9y) = 30(148)

-7(30x + 190y) = -7(1240)

210x + 270y = 4440

-210x - 1330y = -8680

-1060y = -4240

y = 4

7x + 9y = 148

7x + 9(4) = 148

7x + 36 = 148

7x = 112

x = 16

Hence; X = 16 and Y= 4
