Answer:

<h2>The stack is 3 1/2 inches thick.</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the line plot shown in the image attached, the thinnest book is 1/2 inches, and the thickest book is 1 1/4 inches.

We know that the stack is formed by 2 thinnest books and 2 thickest books. We need to just sum fractions to find the thick of the stack

Stack = \frac{1}{2}+\frac{1}{2}+1\frac{1}{4} +1\frac{1}{4}

We need to transform from mixed number to fraction

Stack = 1 + \frac{5}{4} + \frac{5}{4} =1+\frac{10}{4}+\frac{4+10}{4}=\frac{14}{4}\\   Stack=3\frac{1}{2} \ in

Therefore, the stack is 3 1/2 inches thick.

Which value is included in the solution set for the inequality graphed on the number line
marissa [1.9K]

Answer:

-5

Step-by-step explanation:

On the number line, the arrow is from -2 (opens) to the left; that means solutions will be any values less than -2

So

-5 < -2 : YES ( solutions will be any values less than -2)

-2 = -2 : NO  (solutions will be any values less than -2)

0 > -2 : NO  (solutions will be any values less than -2)

3 > -2 : NO  (solutions will be any values less than -2)

Answer

- 5

for every one rotation a small gear takes, the larger gear makes 1/6 of a rotation. If the gear makes 10 complete rotations, how
Vika [28.1K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1 and 2/3 rotations. The little gear full rotation is equal to 1/6 of the big gears rotation. So if the big gear rotates once then its equal to 6 of the small rotations the extra 4 of the 10 rotations then becomes 4/6 of the big gears rotation or if simplified further, 2/3. This is my way of solving these questions
