Imagery and repetition are aspects of word choice. Imagery is the expression through words that makes the reader feel the visual, auditory, touch, taste or smelling sensation. Repetition is writing the same words repeatedly for laying more stress on an action or a situation.
A seems the most logical in this sense, since parents are portrayed (and majority do) sacrifice a lot so their children can live good and better lives than they did.
