How did American rule of Puerto
Rudiy27

Answer:

The American ru le of Puerto Rico hurt those Puerto Ricans because they were not an independent nation and those like Luis Munoz Rivera were determined to fight for it. However, we also helped them by providing protection for the people and the property and eventually allowing them to have a say in government. I believe the benefits outweighed the harms because it could be possible that they would have affairs with other countries and might go back to strict rule, but instead they were safer than they could have been.

1. What did George Washington believe was the best solution to the so-called "Indian problem?"
Sophie [7]

Answer: Civilize them.

Explanation:

George Washington had a specific relationship with the natives of North America. He believed that these people should have certain freedoms as natives. Yet, he put the expansion of young America first. Many examples indicate that Washington, and some of his closest associates, pointed out that natives should be more invoked and assimilated into the American way of life. He believed that this was the best approach that would guarantee the survival of America's indigenous communities.
