The song "Revolutionary Tea" portrays the relationship between Britain and the American colonies as a mother-daughter relationship.

In "Revolutionary Tea", England is depicted as the Mother, whose daughter, the United States is on a far land with an ocean in between. The metaphor is developed throughout the entire song.

According to the song, the mother (England) was never content despite her riches, so she decided to implement a tax on tea. The daughter complained, and  dump the tea in the ocean. This event describes the Boston Tea Party.
