Generally, women had to take on the roles that usually belonged to men because the families needed money. They got jobs and went to work, and in the cases they didn't or couldn't the family would usually live in poverty. The women going to work resulted in "latchkey" kids. Sometimes, men wouldn't come home resulting in war widows.

He firmly believed that citizens could be agents of change, and advocated non-violent, civic solutions to discrimination and segregation. From school sit-ins to voter registration drives, Dr. Garcia led a movement that effected real change in his community and far beyond. Garcia helped with surgical procedure that people could not afford it or were denied treatment. He litterally changed the face of the world.

The French, then became allies with the native indians in the area and soon went to war with the British. Known as the 7 years war, the British won which resulted in the Louisiana purchase. The French left part of there colony to there ally, Spain.
