Which is the best use of punctuation?A) Pole vaulting—and shot put—are Olympic track and field events. B) The Industrial Revolut
WINSTONCH [101]

Answer:

B) The Industrial Revolution (a period between 1750 and 1850) brought many changes to manufacturing.

Explanation:

The phrase between parentheses can be omitted without rendering the sentence illegible or incoherent, which means these punctuation marks were used correctly. In option A, the error is that dashes were used to set off an element which is equally important to "Pole vaulting," since they are the two parts of the sentence's compound subject. In option C, the comma before "and" is unnecessary in a two-item list. Option D shows a wrong use of parentheses, enclosing a fragment of the predicate.

Claire is on a business trip. She'll be traveling from Liverpool, England, to Melbourne, Australia. The latitude value of Liverp
Digiron [165]

Answer:

the difference in latitude is 91.22°

the difference in longitude is 147.95°

Explanation:

For Liverpool, London. The latitude is 53.41°, longitude is -2.99°

For Melbourne, Australia. The latitude is -37.81°, longitude is 144.96°

The negative or positive magnitude of their values shows their position on either sides of the origin of the latitude (equator) and the origin of the longitude (prime meridian).

The latitude measures the relative position of a point, north or south of the equator (latitude 0°). The longitude measures the relative position, east or west of the prime meridian (longitude 0°)

the difference in latitude is 53.41° - (-37.81°) = 53.41° + 37.81° = 91.22°

the difference in longitude = 144.96° - (-2.99°) = 144.96 + 2.99 = 147.95°

Alborosie
Hope this helps!!!!!! Some factors which motive us can be music, peers and especially our families. Almost every action that we make is fueled by motivation, for example if I wanted to buy a shiny new toy or the latest and greatest video game but didn’t have the funds, maybe I would open a lemon aid stand to raise enough money, ask my parents for an allowance or do some common household chores for some quick cash all of these actions I took were fueled by my desire for something. Even as babies if we wanted something to eat or our diaper changed we would cry for it, but as we age we become more independent and get a better understanding of the world through our parents or other role models.
