i believe that the roots of world war II were based on the defeat of the central powers due to the fact that they had more motive to start the war as they had lost a lot of their territories, colonies,the harsh treaties that they were made to sign, large numbers of their armies as well as that respect that they lost due to their defeat. hence they had a motive as they wanted to reclaim their honour as well as lost territories.
