1. Edith Hamilton, he was talking about Pyramus and Thisbe. how even if they were separated by a wall they still found a way to talk to each other by whispering they couldn’t be together physically but talking was just enough.

2. This means that no matter what that anyone can love. Pyramus and Thisbe are a prime example. Love can always find a way, and the more you try to keep someone from loving they end up loving more.

3. This quote is an example of a metaphor. the quote is comparing love being forbidden to a flame being covered but still burning hotter. it does not use the words “like” or “as” and its making a comparison by using an example.

Bond [772]

A) "The diseases we immunize against are not gone and they are still deadly."

This quote best shows the harm that can come from a child not being vaccinated for deadly diseases. In this quote it shows that a child who contracts a disease that he or she could be vaccinated for may end up dead. Option B would support the idea of not vaccinating and the question needs evidence to support vaccinations. Option C is neutral either way. It is simply stating a fact without encouraging for or against vaccinations. Option D addresses parents concerns that vaccinations lead to autism. This does not imply that parents harm their children by NOT vaccinating them.

Can video games be addictive? A recent study by Iowa State University concluded that 1 in 12 American children between the ages of 8 and 18 are addicted to video games. This figures show “gaming” as an addictive pathology, the same way that people are addicted to drugs or gambling. "Pathological gamers" spend more than 24 hours a week playing video games, which is twice the amount of time spent by most players. Researchers are concerned that the United Sates may be following in the footsteps of South Korea. South Korea has more than one hundred clinics to treat video-game addiction. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no more than two hours a day of "screen time." this includes television, movies and the internet.
