Sveta_85 [38]

The type of context that is different for both these two children is the social context.

What is Context?

In literature, context may be defined as the setting within which a work of writing is situated. It provides clarity and respective meaning to the intended message.

Social context illustrates the physical environment around us that can influence the way we behave and think literally.

The context of this question illustrates the situation of two different children from two different family backgrounds. One is living in an urban area with six older siblings, while the other is the only child living in a rural area.

Therefore, the type of context that is different for both these two children is the social context.

What is the best way to make a good friend and to have a friend ship last
alexandr402 [8]

Answer:

The first step is to develop a healthy mental image of meeting new people. Some of us see meeting new people as a scary event. We are concerned about making a good impression, whether the other person will like us, how to keep the conversation going, and so on. The more we think about it, the scarier it seems. This initial apprehension develops into a mental fear, which takes a life of its own and unknowingly blocks us from making new friends. Shyness toward others is actually a result of fear.

Actually, all these fears are just in our head. If you think about it, 99% of people are too busy being concerned about these very things themselves to pay attention to you. While you’re worried about the impression you make, they are worried about the impression they will make. Truth be told, they are just as scared as you are. The remaining 1% are people who recognize that a relationship is built on way stronger values than specific words or things said/done during just one encounter. Even if there are people who do judge you based on what you do/say, are these people you want to be friends with? I think not.

What is most closely the meaning of superseded as it is used in the passage below (paragraph 3)?
shutvik [7]

Answer:

D. | verb | taken the place of; succeeded

Explanation:

"Take the place of" or "succeeded" would best replace the word 'superseded' in this passage.

It isn't A because there is no evidence in the passage to support this answer.

It isn't B because there is no evidence in the passage to support this answer.

It isn't C because to supersede does not necessarily connote defeat in a literal sense.

Hope this isn't confusing. Hope this helps! :D
