The excerpt is from “Take the Tortillas Out of Your Poetry” which is about reaching to a conclusion of the writer. The writer tried to convince reader by using an appeal which is based on her character. We know that there are many kinds rhetoric appeal to convince the reader on any decision.
On this excerpt,author used appeal based on her character.Author said that she was the part of Chicano movement and which created a new literature in the country. So, here she described her character to appeal the audience for convincing them.
The most likely effect of too much type on one slide during a presentation is the following: Answer A. The audience will stop listening to the presenter in order to read the slide. It's commonly know that the 70 % of the people in the world are visual learners. The auditory ability in them is about the 20 % to the 30 % of the total. If you want them to listen to you should show them just a few highlights about the theme you are talking about, just for them to focus on the subject, or you just let them read instead of continue talking otherwise you will distract them with your speech.

The most notable difference that I remember between Rowan and Citra is that Rowan seemed more absolutely determined, while Citra seemed to carry some determination, albeit with compassion more prominent. This brings into question the idea of worthiness for being a Scythe - since a Scythe is able to kill people at a whim with no repercussions, perhaps even with praise, should one value compassion or absolute unbiased determination? Objectively, Rowan is better fit - he is more determined and able to take lives due to his nature. This will be seen later on in the book if you read what happens to him in the future. However, as compassion is needed when interacting with others, especially given a difficult idea such as killing, Citra may be a better fit, as she can be empathetic to those who are in the position of being gleaned.
TL;DR: It depends on your point of view. Both are good candidates, as Faraday asserts simply by choosing them to be his apprentices.
