¿Por quienes estuvieron dirigidas las etapas de la independencia?

La primera etapa de la Independencia de México estuvo dirigida por el sacerdote Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla. Esta etapa va de 1810 a 1811, hasta el asesinato del cura Hidalgo.

La segunda etapa, se refiere al momento en el que otro sacerdote, el cura José María Morelos y Pavón, asume el cargo de líder del movimiento independentista, y va de 1811 a 1815. El cura Morelos era el líder del Ejército Insurgente.

La tercera etapa, llamada de la Resistencia, careció de un liderazgo verdadero, manteniéndose vivo el movimiento por los liderazgos locales de varias figuras a los largo del país. Surgen figuras como Vicente Guerrero, Agustín de Iturbide, y Guadalupe Victoria. Hablamos de 1815 a 1820.

Finalmente en la cuarta etapa, llamada de la Consumación de la Independencia, surgió de la mano del General Agustín López de Iturbide, quien logró unir a los ejércitos y crear el famoso Ejército Trigarante, de las Tres Garantías, que hizo su entrada triunfal a la ciudad de México en 1821, consumando la Independencia de México al vencer al ejército español.
