Dunkirk remains the most important evacuation operation in the second world war.

Without the success of Dunkirk, all of those soldiers from France and Britain would not be able to fight later during the battlBattlee of Britain and Normandy. It was very important for the troops to get evacuated because every bit of manpower mattered in that war.
