The report also ranks nine Indian states and union territories as having "extremely high" water stress. Haryana is among the worst hit. Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir are the others.
