Hello,

The first thing is to know the formula, (a^2 + b^2= c^2). Let’s plug in our numbers. 25 + 36 = c. (If you’re wondering how I got 25 and 36, because I times five by itself. Same thing goes for six) c = 61. Root of 61 is 7.81

Answer is 7.81
Hope this helps!

Answer: 8 units (7.81 Units without rounding)

Work: To get this answers, you need to know the Pythagorean Theorem. The Pythagorean Theorem is a² + b² = c² (c² being the length you need to find) After you find the answer, you have to square it, and after squaring it, you get the missing length. So, let's plug in the numbers. 5² + 6² = 61. Now we need to √61. After doing so, you get 7.81024..., and if you round half way, you get 7.81 units. But preferably, I like to round fully, and you get 8 units.

<em>I hope this helps, and Happy Holidays! :)</em>

The area of a trapezium is 800 cm2
svlad2 [7]

Answer:

The distance between the parallel sides is 20cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a trapezoid:

A=\frac{a+b}{2}\times h

where a and b are the 2 bases, and h is the height. The value we're trying to find here is the height.

3 of the 4 variables in this equation are already given:

A = 800

a = 48

b = 32

Just plug those in and solve for h:

\rightarrow 800=\frac{48+32}{2}\times h\\\rightarrow 800=\frac{80}{2}\times h\\\rightarrow 800=40\times h\\\rightarrow 800\div40=h\\\rightarrow h=20
