The correct answer is A) The federal government should be given powers of taxation.

The Federalists were in favor of a strong federal government after seeing how a weak federal government resulted in failure in American society. When the Articles of Confederation were in place, America's federal government barely had any powers. This lack of power was shown during Shay's Rebellion, in which the US federal government did not have the power to raise an army to put down a rebellion by Massachusetts citizens.

This is why the Federalists favored a strong federal government with the right to tax and raise an army. The ability to tax would allow the federal government to pay off debts from the Revolutionary War.

What was the significance of the Sacco and Vanzetti case?
zzz [600]

Answer:

Sacco and Vanzetti case

Explanation:

Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti linked in shooting in a Shoe company in 1927. Both were put on trial and executed. The outcome of the executions resulted in nativist attitudes toward working-class immigrants. The immigrants ruined their reputation after the capture of both the Italian men because they believed to be the destroyer of American society through anarchists.
