Eugenia Collier's short story is an excerpt from African-American family life dealing with the themes of innocence and maturity, poverty and hopelessness in Depression Era told in first-person. The author uses personification with the description of lead character, Lizabeth's lines "My  father whittled toys for us, and laughed so loud that the  great oak seemed to laugh with him...". As we can observe, the intended character that Lizabeth describes is her father.

Which translations would fit in the blank in order to most effectively link reasons to evidence A: for example
Anuta_ua [19.1K]

The correct answer is option A ("For example").

When supporting any kind of argument, presenting evidence is always a great way of strengthening the reasoning for backing up a certain position. T<u>he phrase </u><u>"for example"</u><u> is commonly found as a way to introduce or link factual evidence to a previously stated argument.</u>

"Similarly" or "on the other hand" would be most commonly used to establish a comparisson; while "however" would point towards a counter-argument.

Hope this helps!

notsponge [240]

Answer:

Chords that have an equal length are called congruent chords. An interesting property of such chords is that regardless of their position in the circle, they are all an equal distance from the circle's center. The distance is defined as the length of a perpendicular line from a point to a line.
