the Great. . . . They employ new verse forms, allowing different spoken rhythms, and compose bold speeches with greater resonance and meaning. The new conceptual framework of a revenge tragedy in particular allows them to portray powerful emotions voiced by strong characters. The most direct result of this series of events is C) the more passionate performances.

Both productions, The Spanish Tragedy and Tamburlaine the Great, meant an important change in the way of putting on a performance. This has to do with the fact that these authors decided to experiment with new rhythms and verse forms when writing their works. Marlowe's play stood out due to the use of a vivid language and blank verse. On the other hand, Kyd created a new genre known as 'the revenge play' since The Spanish Tragedy included a character that personified revenge and it also contained several murders, which allowed the actors to give more powerful and passionate performances on stage.
